This evening I'm going to try to keep it short and sweet. The weather report was wrong, not a big surprise - today was also sunny! I had plenty more in the yard to work on so I did... in jogging pants, a sweatshirt and sunblock on my face! I had taken the camera out "just in case" and on my way to put it back in the house a sweet little hummingbird stopped for a moment at the old feeder near the back door. I was lucky enough to get a few decent shots without scaring "him" away. Our snow level is supposed to be crazy low again over the next few days, which explains why I still haven't added any flowers to Eli's garden yet. But I promise, just as soon as the frost danger has passed, the ground will hopefully be full of new life!
Speaking of life, tomorrow is the one year anniversary that a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend passed into Heaven. If you would please, keep the McComb family in your prayers. I cannot imagine that losing a son after several hours, weeks, months or years would ever be easy... the time will always seem too short to those of us left behind until it is our turn.

Thanks for mentioning us. It really means a lot. We had a very meaningful time together with friends, family and people who loved Willie. Everyone's prayers were felt and have carried us this far.
